Keep apple cinnamon water in the fridge for no more than 3 days, than start a new batch. If you have any remaining just toss it out.

To be honest any type of apple works for this apple detox water. I reach generally for a gala or even honey crisp apple. Both offer a sweetness I enjoy. You are welcome to buy whatever apples that are on sale and you enjoy. I think green apples might offer a bit of a tart flavor.

CAN YOU USE CINNAMON POWDER INSTEAD OF CINNAMON STICKS IN DETOX WATER
Yes. You will gain the same benefits from the powder to the sticks. The only difference is you will need to really stir your water each time you go to pour it from the cinnamon powder and how it settles. I would recommend starting at 1 tablespoon of powder for the replace of cinnamon sticks.

CAN I DRINK APPLE CINNAMON DETOX WATER HOT
Yes, you are welcome to drink this hot if you prefer the taste hot. It is meant to drink cold but you are welcome to warm it up each time if you prefer that.

CAN I HALVE THE RECIPE FOR DETOX WATER
Sure. If you feel you won’t drink this all in three days feel free to adjust the recipe to fit your needs. It wills till taste great and work, and doubling or sizing down the recipe will have no bad effects.

This water is literally so easy to make, and it is tasty. I have been drinking this on and off for a while and it is a great way to feel better on a daily basis. I struggle at times drinking water and have water with a bit of flavor helps. Just pour a glass with each meal, drink and then eat.

Ingredients

• One gallon water, filtered or bottled
• 4-6 Apples
• 6 Cinnamon Sticks

Instructions

1. Bring water to quick boil and than reduce heat to simmer.
2. Core and slice your apples. (save about 1 apple worth of slices for later)
3. Add apples and cinnamon sticks to your simmering water.
4. Simmer 15 minutes.
5. Strain water into glass pitcher.
6. Add saved apple slices and a cinnamon stick. Refrigerate.
